THE FOUNDER: NECHAN NAICKER
Nechan is the Founder and CEO of The Megamillion Group of Companies, Africa’s first mega-scale Lithium-ion battery va, The Megamillion Energy Company.
Nechan is a South African businessman with over 20 years’ experience in business development, technology advancement, and local product development. He served as Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the SA Technology Station in Electronics (a Dept of Science & Technology program to promote localization of electronics design and manufacturing). Nechan also served on a number of Boards of SA technology companies and held senior advisory positions in global electronics bodies (Technical Committee Member of DesignCon USA). He is also currently a member of a AUDA-NEPAD special committee to advise on “Next-generation Batteries for Africa.”
Nechan is an entrepreneur whose personal motto is “Think big. Plan accordingly. Make a difference.”

The Megamillion Group's executive team comprises respected industry specialists including leading professors (from SA, China, Europe) as well as a a body of scientists and engineers with experience in battery technologies, manufacturing and special materials.
Strategic human resource exchange programs are in progress with leading battery technology educational institutions in Asia and South Africa.

The Megamillion Group has entered into strategic alliances with pioneers of the lithium ion battery powder and cell manufacturing industries in Asia.
First samples of the specially-adapted lithium ion batteries for future production in Africa have been manufactured. This is a milestone for Africa and for its much-needed energy transition.

Nechan currently serves as an expert Consultant to the African Union's AUDA-NEPAD for Next Generation Batteries for Africa.
Nechan was also a speaker and panelist at the African Industrialization Week 2019 at the African Union HQ in Ethiopia, with the theme, “Positioning
African Industry to Supply the AfCFTA Market.”
